Construction Project Scheduler

The Construction Project Scheduler, under the direction of the project management team, is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the project schedule. You will be a critical member of the team, interacting with internal staff, client project managers, contractors, and project stakeholders to provide critical analysis of the project’s progression.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

Collaborate with project managers and field teams to define project timelines and sequencing of activities.

Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.

Identify critical path activities and potential risks to project timelines.

Analyze delays and recommend corrective actions or schedule adjustments.

Prepare and present schedule reports, forecasts, and progress updates to stakeholders.

Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project schedules.

Maintain documentation of schedule changes, impacts, and project milestones.

Support claims analysis and delay documentation when necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.  Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience considered.

3–7 years of experience in construction scheduling, program controls, or project controls.

Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.

Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project lifecycle.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.

Familiarity with cost control and project management principles.

Certification such as PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) is a plus.

$75,000 - $105,000 DOE
