Job Description
A well-known, growing, general contractor specializing in commercial and government projects, is looking to add a Project Manager to step in and take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
What You’ll Do
Manage commercial, state, and federal construction projects from start to finish
Oversee 1–3 projects at a time
Develop and maintain project schedules, including milestone tracking and lookaheads
Manage budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasting
Lead subcontractor buyout, negotiations, and coordination
Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
Partner with estimators and leadership during bidding and preconstruction
Conduct site visits across NYS and the Northeast to monitor progress and quality
Ensure compliance with safety, permits, and regulatory requirements
Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
What They’re Looking For
3+ years of construction project management experience
Degree in Construction Management/Engineering or hands-on (homegrown) experience
Strong skills in organization, budgeting, and problem-solving
Confident communicator with solid team collaboration abilities
Self-motivated and able to operate independently
