Required Skills
Job Description
We are hiring a Construction Project Manager with a hands-on self-perform background in commercial interiors (framing, drywall, and related trades) to lead projects from preconstruction through completion.
This role is built for someone who has personally run crews and understands how the work is installed step-by-step. This is not a coordination-focused GC role — the expectation is ownership of production, labor, and execution in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Build detailed, production-based budgets using labor units, install rates, and sequencing
• Oversee and support self-perform field crews (10–30+ workers)
• Drive daily production, crew performance, and jobsite efficiency
• Develop schedules tied directly to field execution and workflow sequencing
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower to support production
• Monitor jobsite progress, quality, and safety through regular field presence
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Communicate with clients, field teams, and leadership
Requirements:
• 5+ years as a Project Manager in commercial construction (interiors or TI preferred)
• Prior hands-on experience in a self-perform trade (e.g., framing, drywall, interiors)
• Proven experience directly managing self-perform crews (not just subcontractors)
• Experience building budgets from production rates, not subcontractor bids
• Strong understanding of installation methods, sequencing, and field execution
• Experience on projects $2M+
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with Procore or similar tools
What Sets Top Candidates Apart
• Background as a former foreman or superintendent in framing/drywall/interiors
• Experience managing multi-floor commercial buildouts or large TI projects
• Proven track record of hitting labor targets and production schedules
• Experience working in retail, healthcare, or similar fast-paced commercial environments
Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
