Title: Construction Project Manager
Department: Production
Supervisory Position: No
Reports to: Production Manager
Hours: Minimum of forty (40) hours per week, typically Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm or as required to complete necessary tasks
Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing the construction cycle of new homes from pre-construction planning, permitting, and scheduling through post-settlement warranty. This includes coordinating and supervising
subcontractors, passing all government required inspections, delivering projects on time and in budget, conducting quality control inspections, and communicating progress with customers, sales staff, and management.
Job Responsibilities
Pull all necessary permits and complete all required pre-construction functions
Subcontractor management including proactive scheduling and daily guidance on construction activities
Schedule and manage material deliveries as required
Coordinate and pass all required municipal inspections
Daily updates of construction schedule and timelines
Manage and update construction budget as required
Provide management with on-lot variable cost impact
Manage safety and cleanliness of construction site
Provide highest level of customer service through routine communication with client
Collaborate with other departments regularly to overcome obvious or impending production problems and/or delays

Excellent familiarity with new home print reading, options, and features
Proven understanding of new home construction practices, setting buyer expectations, and customer service
Ability to work independently and take initiative without direction
Strategically creative thinking skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Advanced technology skills, including all Microsoft Office products
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality
Required Experience/Education
5+ years experience in home-building industry
Other Requirements (e.g. Travel, Physical Demands)
Minimal travel required. Employee must own or lease a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance coverage.
