Job Title: Construction Project Engineer
Position Overview
RUSH Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Project Engineer to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of large construction projects. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of construction projects
Coordinate project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and permits
Track project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
Support procurement of materials and subcontractors
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability
Maintain communication between office staff, field teams, subcontractors, and clients
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and safety standards
Assist with project closeout including punch lists, final documentation, and warranties
Help resolve project issues and identify solutions to keep work moving efficiently
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
5+ years of construction experience (internships or field experience considered)
Strong understanding of construction processes and project documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with project management software such as Procore, MS Project. or similar
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license and ability to visit project sites as needed
Must be U.S. Citizen with clean background check.
