We are seeking a skilled Construction Mechanic / Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This hands-on role involves maintaining, repairing, and preparing small tools and light construction equipment for active project sites. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and experienced in troubleshooting and repairing both electric and gas-powered machinery.
Role Overview
In this position, you will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on a variety of equipment. You’ll work closely with field superintendents to address service needs and ensure that all machinery is in safe, operational condition. This role offers a balance of shop-based tasks and on-site field support across dynamic construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair for small engines, light construction equipment, and tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and digital records for equipment service history.
• Support shop operations, including cleaning, prepping, and organizing machinery for deployment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
• Provide on-site equipment support across various project locations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Construction Mechanic, Equipment Maintenance Technician, or Diesel Mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL highly preferred.
• Strong technical skills in small engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must pass a standard background check.
Education & Certifications
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry).
• First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
