About Your Role
CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Construction Manager III to support the Terminal 5 Renovation and Reconstruction Project at Los Angeles International Airport. This role will oversee construction activities associated with the demolition and rebuild of the Terminal 5 headhouse and concourse, including enabling scopes required to vacate the existing facility.
The Construction Manager will act as the primary liaison between the Design/Builder and stakeholders during both pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring safety, quality, and operational continuity within an active airport environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done
Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably on airport projects
Experience supporting projects exceeding $100 million in value
Experience with delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, and Design-Build
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of construction practices, procedures, and regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
Familiarity with PMIS systems such as PMWeb
Experience supporting airport concourse, headhouse, or site/civil scopes preferred

Certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PMP, or PE
Experience working in active airport environments
Strong stakeholder coordination and large program experience
What You’ll Do
Monitor all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Coordinate with Design/Builder and stakeholders on construction sequencing and planning
Ensure adherence to approved work plans, safety protocols, and Area Shutdown Requests (ASRs)
Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders for compliance and accuracy
Monitor budget, staffing, materials, and equipment to meet schedule and cost objectives
Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project milestones
Ensure quality control and safe construction practices across all phases
Prepare reports summarizing construction progress for leadership and clients
Participate in coordination meetings with contractors, stakeholders, and LAWA operations
Review and negotiate contractor change order claims to resolution
Support implementation of project policies and labor agreements

Salary Requirements
$192,000 – $205,000 annually
Bonus opportunities may be granted based on individual performance, utilization, attendance, tenure, and achievement of company goals
