Construction Foreman-North Carolina
We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to support and lead on-site operations in coordination with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can help drive the day-to-day field execution, manage crews, and keep work progressing safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This person should be a self-starter who takes ownership of their scope while working as part of a larger project team.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to execute the overall project plan.
Provide daily on-site leadership and direction to field crews and subcontractors.
Coordinate and oversee assigned phases of construction from start through closeout.
Support the project schedule by managing workflow, sequencing, and manpower in the field.
Communicate regularly with the Superintendent and Project Manager on progress, challenges, and solutions.
Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accurate execution.
Identify and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays or rework.
Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations.
Conduct daily huddles and maintain clear communication across all trades.
Monitor quality of work and ensure it meets company and client expectations.
Track materials, equipment, and deliveries to support uninterrupted workflow.
Maintain organized and professional jobsite conditions.
Perform hands-on carpentry, finish work, and punch list tasks as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with prior foreman or lead experience required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and hold accountability.
Proven ability to keep projects on schedule and adapt to changing conditions.
Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
