About the Role
As a Construction Estimating Intern, you will work alongside our estimating professionals to understand how projects begin by analyzing costs, scope, materials, and opportunities to deliver value to clients. This internship provides meaningful hands-on experience in both the office and field, helping you develop foundational estimating and preconstruction skills.
Responsibilities may include:
Identifying clear scopes of work, risk factors, and project requirements
Supporting bid procurement and subcontractor communication
Performing quantity take-offs and preparing quality summaries
Maintaining and updating the subcontractor and supplier directory
Attending site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, and bid deliveries
Observing how safety requirements influence project bids and execution
Learning how innovative, customer-centric thinking adds value in preconstruction
Our Estimating internships are designed to be most beneficial for:
Students currently pursuing degrees in the following areas: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Development and Planning, Business, Accounting, or related fields.
Individuals with exposure to the construction industry and job sites
At least 18 years of age as of May 2026
Those with reliable transportation to travel to multiple job sites in the WNY area
