Construction Equipment Maintenance & Field Service Technician

We are looking for a dedicated Construction Equipment Maintenance & Field Service Technician in Mount Pleasant, SC to ensure job site machinery operates at peak efficiency. This hands-on, full-time role blends in-shop diagnostics with on-site service calls, supporting construction operations throughout Mount Pleasant. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair small engines, light construction machinery, and power tools
• Perform preventative maintenance to prolong equipment life and reduce downtime
• Respond to field service calls on construction sites throughout Mount Pleasant, SC, including emergency repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, ignition, and electrical system malfunctions
• Conduct post-repair testing to ensure operational reliability and safety compliance
• Keep accurate digital maintenance logs and equipment history records
• Prepare, stage, and clean equipment for deployment to active projects
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a mechanic, construction maintenance technician, or equipment service professional
• Strong understanding of small engine repair, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer manuals and technical documentation
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred
• Must successfully pass a background check
• Basic computer proficiency for logging work and reporting
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently in both shop and field environments

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• First Aid / CPR certification preferred

Work Schedule & Environment

• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Combination of shop-based maintenance and outdoor field service across Mount Pleasant, SC
• Reliable transportation needed to commute to the local shop
