Construction Accountant
Grace Roofing & Sheet Metal Enterprise has an immediate opening for a Construction Accountant to join our growing team. We are a local reputable family owned and operated roofing company serving South Florida.
Responsibilities
Interacts with the project manager and unit managers for managing objectives, goals and performance as well as working with the estimating department
Support activities concerned with the reporting and control of the close process, forecasting and planning
Responsible for reconciling bank accounts and credit cards.
Prepare weekly Subcontractor and vendor payments.
Prepare monthly sales commission report.
Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly financials.
Monthly tracking and adjusting of Cost of Goods Sold.
Maintain WIP report
Perform Job Cost Analysis.
Assist with Pricing of Services.
Responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit and collections.
Support purchase order requisitions and material ordering.
Manage inventory, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting.
Prepare year-end 1099.
Ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
1-2 years of related work experience.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.
Ability to develop strong analytical skills.
Strong customer focus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work daily during specified business hours in order to meet deadlines.
QuickBooks experience required.
Construction background desired but not required.
