We are looking for a hands-on Confluent Kafka Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and deploying Kafka-based solutions. This role requires deep technical involvement in building core streaming applications, optimizing performance, implementing security at the application layer, and preparing deployment scripts to promote components across environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stream processing, Kafka security models, and production-grade deployment practices.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

Core Development

• Design and develop applications using Confluent Kafka
• Build custom adaptors and connectors tailored to business requirements
• Develop and maintain KSQL scripts and Kafka Streams (KStream) applications
• Implement event-driven and real-time data streaming solutions

Performance Optimization

• Conduct performance tuning and fine-tuning of custom adaptors and connectors
• Optimize applications running on Confluent cluster nodes for scalability and reliability
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in streaming pipelines

Security Implementation

• Implement application-level security models including RBAC and ACLs
• Configure encryption mechanisms and secure communication (SSL/mTLS)
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and best practices

Deployment & Environment Management

• Develop and maintain deployment scripts for Topics, Connectors, Streams, Adaptors, and KSQL components
• Manage promotion of changes across development, staging, and production environments
• Ensure deployment processes align with organizational release schedules

Troubleshooting & Support

• Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and defect resolution for Kafka-based systems
• Provide hands-on debugging and issue resolution in distributed environments
• Coordinate with testing teams to validate production readiness

Testing & Go-Live Support

• Support Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Assist during staging and production go-live events
• Ensure smooth rollout and post-deployment validation

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Confluent Kafka
• Hands-on expertise in KSQL scripting and Kafka Streams (KStream)
• Knowledge of RBAC, ACLs, and encryption mechanisms
• Experience implementing SSL/mTLS security models
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Experience supporting Unit Testing and User Acceptance Testing processes
