Configuration Manager

PPT Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities for the Configuration Manager:

Develop and implement configuration management strategies, processes, and procedures.

Create and maintain configuration baselines while ensuring all changes are documented and compliant with established policies.

Monitor and track configuration items throughout their lifecycle to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of configuration management practices.

Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration settings to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Provide training and support to staff on configuration management processes and best practices.

Conduct Configuration Control Board meetings.

Develop and transmit deliverable data and document packages.

Develop data packages for Configuration Audits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Configuration Manager:

Must have 10 years of relevant experience.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.

Must be able to travel.

 
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Configuration Manager:

Experience using databases.

Data delivery schedule management.

Ability to interpret contract requirements and relate them to CDRL deliverable requirements.

Ability to interpret and follow Government policies, procedures, and regulations.

Excellent written, oral and presentation/communication skills.

Integrity, flexibility/adaptability, initiative, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and multitasking.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
