Concrete Repair Technician

A-1 Cement is seeking an experienced Concrete Repair Technician to join our team.  This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with strong experience in concrete repair, cutting and breakout work and who takes pride in quality craftmanship and customer service.

You are an experienced concrete professional with a broad skillset and a strong understanding of residential construction practices.  You take pride in your work, communicate well with customers, and consistently deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in the concrete industry

Strong knowledge of concrete repair techiques, including:

Patching

Skimming

Resurfacing

Experience with concrete placing and finishing 

Knowledge of concrete products used for repair and service work

Relevant education or training in concrete flatworks

Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract

Professional, personable, and customer-focused approach

Key Responsibilities

Assess work orders in accordance with Alberta legislation and guidelines 

Meet with customers and clearly communicate repair responsibilities 

Maintain positive and professional customer relationships

Skillfully complete required concrete repairs

Ensure all health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed in accordance with legislation and company policies

Physically capable of operating heavy-duty tools, including

Drill core machines

Floor grinders

Trained and experienced with power tools

Proactive and clear communicator

Compensation

Competitive wage: Approximately $30/hour, depending on experience
