A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an entry level Computer Scientist to join our Operational and Supportability Implementation System (OASIS) team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. OASIS is used strictly by FAA Flight Service Specialists in Alaska to provide weather briefing and flight planning services to general aviation pilots.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work independently with close supervision.
Provide expertise in software requirements analysis, design, design reviews, development, software testing, integration, installation, and maintenance of computer system.
Provide 2nd level engineering support for OASIS.
Participate in software installations, database installations, system shutdowns and startups and test related activities.
Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities for OASIS systems.
Review and comment on system engineering documents, system requirement documents, system testing documents, and system training material.
Attend system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and any other meetings as requested to support the program and team.
Possess a technical understanding of systems, databases, networking, computing environments, and virtualization.
Develop and manage system engineering artifacts, system requirements artifacts, system testing artifacts, and required product baseline artifacts.
Able to support software applications in Linux environments.
Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester.
Must be willing to travel. On call for site support.
Full-time position, standard work hours, no specified job duration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Working knowledge Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
Windows environment.
Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Preferred:
Knowledge of network troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Linux shell scripts
Experience in performing system testing to include issuing documentation, troubleshooting, test procedure creation, and test report generation.
Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.
The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
