Job Description

Fixed Term Contract 11 months and 28 days.

We’re seeking an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Assistant, based in Santa Ana, Costa Rica office. In this role, you will process all type of transaction reviews, escalations and investigations that contemplate such areas. This requires being up to speed with news related political changes across the globe in order to identify potential risks and to notify Management as needed. They must be aware of the current Country Sanctions, overall Compliance regulations, procedures and standards.

The Responsabilities y Qualifications:

• Excellent Time Management.


Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.


Knowledge of AML, KYC related to Government Sanctions, PEP and Interdiction.


Continuous learning of a rapidly changing regulatory/operations environment and application of industry’s best practices.


Proven experience in sanctions screening as well as knowledge of current OFAC guidelines and regulations are preferred.


Monitor intake channels to ensure the respective processing within the agreed service level agreement. High quality.


Strong customer service orientation, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail during repetitive tasks.


Outstanding team player, with high attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly structured, deadline-driven environment.


Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt quickly to shifting demands to consistently meet short SLA deadlines without compromising accuracy or compliance standards.

Estamos en búsqueda de un/a Asistente de Cumplimiento contra el Lavado de Dinero (AML) para unirse a nuestro equipo en la oficina de Santa Ana, Costa Rica. En este rol, serás responsable de procesar revisiones de transacciones, escalaciones e investigaciones relacionadas con áreas clave de cumplimiento. Esto requiere estar al tanto de noticias y cambios políticos a nivel global para identificar posibles riesgos y notificar a la gerencia cuando sea necesario. También deberás tener conocimiento actualizado sobre sanciones internacionales, regulaciones de cumplimiento, procedimientos y estándares aplicables.

Responsabilidades y Requisitos

Responsabilidades y Cualificaciones:

• Excelente gestión del tiempo.

• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación en inglés, tanto escritas como verbales.

• Conocimiento de AML y KYC relacionado con sanciones gubernamentales, PEP y procesos de interdicción.

• Aprendizaje continuo en un entorno regulatorio y operativo en constante cambio, aplicando las mejores prácticas de la industria.

• Experiencia comprobada en sanctions screening y conocimiento de las directrices y regulaciones actuales de OFAC (preferido).

• Monitorear los canales de entrada para asegurar el procesamiento correspondiente dentro del acuerdo de nivel de servicio establecido, manteniendo alta calidad.

• Fuerte orientación al servicio al cliente, habilidades analíticas y de resolución de problemas, y atención al detalle durante tareas repetitivas.

• Excelente jugador(a) de equipo, con alta atención al detalle y habilidades organizativas.

Comodidad trabajando en un entorno acelerado, altamente estructurado y orientado a fechas límite.

Capacidad para priorizar tareas de manera efectiva y adaptarse rápidamente a cambios en las demandas, cumpliendo constantemente con plazos cortos de SLA sin comprometer la precisión o los estándares de cumplimiento.
