Compliance and Privacy Manager – Tieto Banktech Credit and Wealth Business Unit

We are seeking a talented Compliance and Privacy Manager to join our harmonized Compliance and Privacy organisation. The successful compliance hero will play a crucial role in ensuring the Credit and Wealth Business Unit adheres to privacy laws and regulations by managing risk, responding to data breaches, and educating staff on data protection practices. You will act as a subject matter expert, working with quality, legal and security teams to implement and maintain frameworks that protect personal data and align with our strategic goals. You will report directly to the Head of Operations in Credit Wealth with a doted line to the Tieto Banktech Head of Compliance.

 

With us you will:

• Implement and maintain internal policies, instructions and procedures to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations. 
• Identify potential privacy risks and implement corrective measures to mitigate them. 
• Stay updated on global privacy laws, such as the GDPR and CCPA, and others ensuring our organization's compliance with them. 
• Manage data breach responses, including timely notification to affected parties and regulatory bodies. 
• Promote data protection awareness within the organization by educating staff on privacy best practices. 
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of data handling practices to identify areas of concern and ensure adherence to policies. 
• Serve as the BU primary point of contact. Act as a liaison between various internal departments on privacy matters. The Compliance and Privacy manager will perform the operative tasks that lie within the responsibility of the business units. This includes, e.g., filling out RfP’s on behalf of their business unit, following up with product managers on implementation of regulatory (incl. privacy) requirements in their services, following up that supplementary agreements are distributed to customers, participating in projects aiming at implementing regulatory requirements.
• Provide advice and guidance on data privacy, regulatory requirements, risk, and security to different teams within the organization. The Compliance & Privacy Manager have a reporting responsibility to the Banking Compliance Team on matters related to regulatory compliance and privacy. They are also responsible for communicating information given from the Banking Compliance Team related to compliance to their respective business units and relevant stakeholders e.g product managers, sales.

 

Who you are?

• Minimum 4-5 years of Data Privacy experience or Regulatory Compliance
• Degree in law or related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to consult, provide guidance and support colleagues, especially spoken and written English
• Ability to collaborate effectively with areas like quality, legal, security and other departments within Tietoevry Banking.
• Working knowledge of Information Security principles and practices, such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SOC1 and SOC2.
• Project management skills
• Familiarity with the financial services industry
• Proven track record of understanding standards and certifications
• Up to speed knowledge of GDPR, NIS2, DORA, AI Act and proven experience from working with privacy- and security legislation compliance programs.
