We are seeking talented compiler engineers to work on cutting-edge compiler development, focusing on new ISA enablement and performance optimization for Intel's latest processor architectures. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compiler readiness, performance leadership, and ecosystem success for upcoming Intel platforms.
The key responsibilities include:
1)New ISA Enabling: Implement and integrate support for the latest instruction set architectures (ISA) in compilers
2)Performance Tuning: Optimize compiler-generated code to maximize performance on Intel platforms
3)Code Generation: Develop and enhance code generation strategies for x86/x64 architectures
4)Compiler Development: Design, implement, and maintain compiler features and optimizations
5)Testing and Validation: Ensure compiler correctness and performance through comprehensive testing

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
Assembly Language: Understanding of x86/x64 assembly language
Computer Architecture: Solid knowledge of x86 processor architecture and microarchitecture
Compiler Theory: Strong foundation in compiler design principles, optimization techniques, and code generation
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience: 3+ years of experience in compiler development or related systems programming
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Compiler internals and development
Knowledge of LLVM/Clang/GCC compiler infrastructure
Familiarity with Intel processor features (AVX, AVX-512, etc.)
Understanding of parallel programming and vectorization
Experience with performance analysis tools and methodologies
Open-source software development experience
Knowledge of software optimization techniques
Other Technical Skills:
Experience with debugging and profiling tools
Understanding of linkers, assemblers, and binary formats
Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control (Git)
Knowledge of CPU performance characteristics and optimization strategies

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
