WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM EST – 5:00 PM EST
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Compensation & Benefits Department Manager (Human Resources Division Manager in the absence of the Compensation & Benefits Department Manager)
ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Day-to-day support of payroll preparation, compensation data maintenance, and benefits enrollment functions
CLASSIFICATION: W8BEN; contractual 40 hours per week paid hourly
COMPENSATION RANGE: ₱283.63 PHP per hour (this is not USD), commensurate with experience and qualifications

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting payroll coordination, salary and wage adjustments, and employee benefits administration for Enterprise Management Solutions and the companies it contractually services. The role ensures that employee data in HRIS is accurate and that compensation actions are processed in alignment with internal procedures and state/federal wage laws.
This position also plays a key role in helping employees understand their benefits, tracking enrollment deadlines, assisting with payroll discrepancy resolution, and working closely with HR, finance, and third-party providers.
SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the preparation and review of payroll data for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding prior to submission to CHRO
Maintain compensation records including salary changes, promotions, and stipend approvals in HRIS/payroll system
Track and enter deductions and earnings including bonuses, garnishments, reimbursements, and benefit adjustments
Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in coordination with benefit carriers and HRIS
Educate employees about benefits offerings, open enrollment timelines, and life event reporting
Respond to payroll and benefit inquiries and provide support in resolving issues in a timely, professional manner
Monitor compliance with federal and state wage laws (e.g., FLSA), including exempt/non-exempt status and overtime tracking
Reconcile benefits invoices and report discrepancies to the Compensation & Benefits Manager
Maintain digital files and logs of compensation actions and employee benefits documentation
Support reporting requirements by producing compensation and benefits data for audits or leadership as needed
UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist your supervisor with any work-related tasks as requested, taking initiative where possible
Remain informed and compliant with regulations and standards, including COMAR, CARF, and other relevant governing bodies, as well as company policies and procedures
Support the maintenance of a safe work environment by participating in drills and safety trainings as requested
Maintain confidentiality of all records, especially those relating to client treatment or financial information
Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor
Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement plans by conducting audits and activities that ensure regulatory compliance
Assist with onboarding and orientation presentations regarding pay and benefits
Participate in the open enrollment process and employee communications
Support benefit utilization analysis and surveys as directed
Help maintain salary band documentation and job classification summaries
Cross-train with HRIS and HR Generalist staff as needed

LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:
13 AIHR certifications
SHRM certification
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of payroll and/or benefits experience required
Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings preferred
Working knowledge of FLSA, ACA, and HIPAA requirements
Ability to pass background and reference checks
