About the Position | Te Mahi
We are seeking a caring and dependable female staff member to assist a delightful 12-year-old girl who has unique needs. This role involves helping her with morning routines, including personal care and school drop-off.
Responsibilities may Include:
Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)
Dropping off to school
Assisting with household management and meal preparation
Job Location: Karori, Wellington
Employment Type: Permanent
Days of Work: Monday to Friday AM shifts: 7:45 am - 8:45 am, PM Shifts: 2.30 pm to 6 pm.
The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.
About you | He momo
Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred
Experience working with children with special needs is preferred, but not required
A kind, patient, and positive approach
Access to your car and a Full Driver’s License is a requirements of the role (as this is community-based work)
NZ Citizens and Permanent residents only
Ideally suited for someone local to Karori, or a college/university student who is looking for some extra hours work.

Pay Band: $24.73 - $30.78 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
