As our Community Program and Social Media Coordinator, you are the vital link between our conservation goals and the local village. By coordinating educational workshops and managing our digital narrative, you ensure that our impact is both sustainable on the ground and visible to the world. You aren't just managing a schedule; you are fostering the relationships and capturing the moments that drive our mission forward.
🎯 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Leading Community Engagement: Coordinate the community program on base, managing schedules and liaising directly with school teachers and village members.
Creating Educational Resources: Develop exciting new workshop programs, training materials, and resources that align with village traditions and GVI’s goals.
Capturing the Mission: Create and post daily social media content that grows our reach and provides high-quality updates to our global marketing team.
Supporting Conservation: Take an active role in elephant and biodiversity hikes, supporting elephant mahout relations and integrating community work with our wildlife efforts.
Building Lasting Relationships: Foster an environment where community participation grows and students reach meaningful milestones across all lessons.
🚀 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Teaching Expertise: Previous teaching experience and a TEFL qualification.
Digital Creativity: Proven experience in social media management and a solid understanding of Canva.
Interpersonal Energy: An extroverted, "people person" personality with a proactive communication style.
Adaptability: The ability to stay organized and professional while living in a 24/7 field environment.
Cultural Curiosity: A genuine interest in biodiversity and local community engagement.
Bonus if you also have:
First Aid or Emergency First Response certificationÂ

Our hub is located in the stunning mountains of Northern Thailand. Life here is immersive and fast-paced; you will be living in the heart of the community you serve.
Living Conditions: You will stay in traditional field housing that allows for total immersion in the local culture.
Food: Local, nutritious meals are provided daily.
Fitness & Conditions: This is a field role involving a 24/7 presence with alternate weekends off. You should be comfortable with hiking and being active in a tropical environment.
