Vie Management is seeking a Community Operations & Leasing Manager to lead leasing performance while supporting day-to-day community operations across a portfolio of Washington DC communities, including rent-controlled property.
This role is ideal for a sales-driven, creative leasing professional who understands how strong operations, compliance, and resident experience directly impact leasing success. The Community Operations & Leasing Manager will drive traffic, close leases, ensure compliance with DC rent control regulations, and collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales Performance
Drive leasing traffic, occupancy, and revenue through proactive sales strategies
Conduct engaging tours and effectively close prospective residents
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and residents
Track leasing activity, traffic, and conversion metrics
Support renewal efforts through proactive communication
Community Operations & Collaboration
Partner with maintenance and operations teams to ensure units are rent-ready
Conduct regular community walks to assess unit readiness and overall presentation
Communicate operational timelines clearly to support leasing expectations
Understand building operations to confidently answer prospect and resident questions
Rent Control, Compliance & Administration
Maintain working knowledge of Washington, DC rent control regulations and Fair Housing laws
Prepare and manage leases, renewals, rent increase notices, and required resident communications
Ensure leasing activity complies with local regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate leasing files, reports, and resident records
Marketing & Community Engagement
Collaborate with Marketing on leasing campaigns and promotional efforts
Participate in resident events and outreach initiatives
Assist with creative leasing strategies to stand out in a competitive market
Leadership & Professional Standards
Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and customer focus
Support and mentor leasing team members as needed
Maintain a solutions-oriented approach to challenges and resident concerns
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in leasing, property management, or residential sales
Experience working in a rent-controlled or regulated housing environment (DC preferred)
Proven sales and closing experience
Strong understanding of community or building operations
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Proficiency with property management software (Entrata preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
