POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Community Events Manager, provides general support for the community events team, and performs duties related to Draper City community events.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Aids with set-up, operation, and take-down of event equipment including tables, chairs, tents, signage, etc.
Assists with event operations during weekend and evening hours.
Helps maintain community events storage and inventory.
Provides customer service when interacting with event attendees and contractors.
Prepares city venues to host events, such as painting, pulling weeds, sweeping, raking, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience – Related experience or experience with community events preferred. Experience driving pickup trucks and cargo trailer strongly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications –
Valid Utah Driver License.
Must pass a lift test of 60 pounds at time of interview.

Lift or carry heavy (60 + pounds) objects repeatedly
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed primarily in office, while driving a vehicle, and outdoor settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during day and night shifts. Tasks require a variety of physical activities such as running, sitting, balancing, working at heights, climbing stairs or ladders, bending/stooping, crouching/squatting, crawling, kneeling, working in awkward positions, reaching from shoulder height to overhead, reaching from waist to floor, have good extension and flexion, finger feel and operate foot controls. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity required for most essential functions. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability and discriminating thinking and creative problem solving. Repeatedly required to lift or carry weight of exert forces of 60 pounds and greater.

Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on site, in field
Salary range:
$17.00 per hour
$17.50 per hour for return seasonals
Anticipated start date: Season is June through August (Seasonal employment is not to exceed six months in duration)
