Job summary:
Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) is responsible for coordinating with community agencies and engaging in the recovery community within Set Free Alaska and at community events. The coordinator helps identify and access needed resources and recovery supports for clients. The CEC also supports coordination and oversight of recovery-focused programming.

Qualifications:
Required:
Two (2) years’ experience interacting & participating in the recovery community and the Behavioral Health field
A current valid driver’s license
A safe, reliable vehicle
Preferred:
Experience in event planning and administration
Skills required:
Good written, verbal and organizational skills
Punctuality and consistency in reporting to work
Understanding of how the recovery community operates
The ability to:
Represent the mission and values of Set Free Alaska to the staff and community
Make leadership decisions within the scope of responsibilities as set forth in Set Free Alaska’s policies and procedures
Build rapport with the recovery community, clients, staff and community partners while maintaining professional boundaries
Maintain confidentiality and treat everyone with dignity and respect
Proficient computer skills and fluid use of electronic communication tools
Job responsibilities:
Represent Set Free Alaska at community events, recovery gatherings, outreach activities, and collaborative meetings to strengthen SFA’s presence and partnerships.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and supporting recovery-oriented events, or activities that promote engagement with SFA.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community agencies, recovery partners, and stakeholders to support client access to recovery resources and services.
Serve as a liaison between SFA and community partners.
Engage individuals in recovery by fostering connection between SFA programs, peer support, and community-based recovery networks.
Collaborate with internal SFA teams to support coordination and operational needs of recovery-focused programming.
Maintain accurate documentation related to community engagement activities, partnerships, and outreach efforts.
Model and promote SFA’s mission, values, and recovery-oriented approach in all interactions with clients, staff, and community partners.
