Specular is building the first EVM-native optimistic rollup to expand Ethereum’s scaling capabilities while ensuring security guarantees and minimizing trust assumptions. Where other Layer 2 scalability solutions have yet to deliver on the promised security and trust guarantees, Specular will launch with our optimistic rollup that delivers on the security and trust where others have yet to arrive.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented & passionate Community / Developer Relations Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who can take initiative to spark, build and nurture a user & community base centered around the core tents of trust minimization and credible neutrality.

Responsibilities:

• Community Engagement: Foster and grow a developer & user community that is organic and true to the decentralization principles of Specular’s technology. This will primarily be digital (social media, AMAs, etc) but also in-person (major conferences & speaking engagements)

• Content Creation: Create engaging and technically sophisticated content that aligns with the Specular network rollout and brand messaging

• Community Growth: Execute and monitor strategies that can be used to systematically grow our community growth metrics and KOL / community partners

• Market & User Feedback Gathering: Act as a bridge between the community and project team, and maintain an understanding of how the broader L2 / Ethereum community is evolving

Qualifications:

• Proven experience driving community / marketing, preferably within a Web3 infrastructure team

• Deeply passionate and connected to the Ethereum ecosystem, and aligned with Specular’s mission to increase trust minimization and credible neutrality with technology

• Exceptional communication skills, including an ability to understand and synthesize technical concepts for broader consumption

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with Ethereum and blockchain technologies.

• Experience with Rust, Go, or Solidity

• Prior experience with optimistic rollup or L2 scaling solutions

• Prior experience supporting research-oriented development

• Thought-leadership in blockchain infrastructure and testing practices
