Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school. This position is full-time and is responsible for community engagement, fostering strong bonds between the community and AHAH on all programs and conducting beneficiary selection as required. This position is also responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of AHAH work by collecting and responding to feedback.

Essential Functions
Engage the community by building and maintaining relationships between the community, staff and volunteers, including organizing community events. Involve and advocate for the community in decisions and provide timely, relevant, and culturally sensitive support as needed
Identify the community, its boundaries, influencers and vulnerable populations through regular activities such as actor mapping
Creating a community committee to ensure appropriate representation of various social groups and vulnerable populations.
Ensure clear communication between All Hands and Hearts and the community
Identify cultural factors (bi-directional) and create appropriate guidelines
Provide transparency to the Community regarding All Hands and Hearts projects and objectives
Manage expectations by clearly communicating All Hands and Hearts processes and methodologies
Ensure communication with the local community and government authorities regarding project milestones, timelines and objectives
Manage communication with neighboring communities to ensure cohesion
Assist PD, OM and PM in the local hiring procedures and beneficiary support
Facilitate renewal activities in line with the project scope including Disaster Risk Reduction training, WaSH training, and Community Led Projects
Work with the Impact Reporting Manager to finalize context-appropriate surveys and their translations for the program M&E Plan
Lead on day-to-day data collection activities with community-based audiences, as defined and outlined in the program's M+E Plan
For other renewal and community activities, keep proper records per direction from PD
In collaboration with the community, identify and create meaningful proposals for Community Led Projects. Empower community members throughout the creation and implementation stages of selected projects
Support the Program Director in compiling program specific fortnightly and end of program reports for the organization
Program Implementation: Planning and overseeing all phases of CfW projects, ensuring they align with donor requirements and AH&H standards
Community Engagement: Liaising with community leaders and local authorities to identify needs, select participants, and promote ownership of projects
Coordination: Working with sectoral clusters (e.g., WASH, Shelter) and Cash Working Groups (CWGs) to align interventions
Monitoring & Evaluation: Tracking daily/weekly attendance, monitoring cash delivery, and ensuring work quality.
Reporting: Contributing to project progress reports and collecting data for monitoring
Perform other duties as required
Position Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field
Related Experience Previous experience working with All Hands and Hearts preferred. 1+ year’s experience working with community projects in developing countries.
Previous experience in cash-based interventions (CBI), community engagement, or humanitarian assistance, particularly with displaced populations
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and team-management skills.
Special Competencies/Certifications
Must be fluent in at least one language/dialect used in the region of the project. Good written and oral communication skills (in English) and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. The individual needs to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: Typical starting salary is $850 - $1,225 USD / month, and up to $1,600 for highly qualified candidates who have previous experience in this role.
