Job Summary:
This position supports the mission and vision of Mountain Springs Church (MSC) by helping execute and elevate churchwide communications with excellence, creativity, and alignment. This position is highly visual and creative, partnering closely with the Communications Director to bring clarity to messaging, support major initiatives, and strengthen how MSC shows up across digital and physical environments. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused yet creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial team environment that is mission-driven, people-oriented, and fast-paced. The ideal individual will be someone who combines high attention to detail with strong organizational ability, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative setting. The successful candidate will be a creative professional who can learn quickly, think critically, and continuously refine their craft.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Creative Execution & Visual Storytelling
Contribute to the development and execution of creative assets across print, digital, and environmental platforms
Help ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across all churchwide communications
Support visual storytelling through design and light video editing
Elevate the overall aesthetic quality of communication touchpoints
Content & Messaging Support
Assist in refining and shaping churchwide messaging
Contribute to written communication across platforms
Support content planning rhythms and campaign alignment
Help maintain clarity, tone, and cohesion across departments
Campaign & Initiative Support
Partner in the execution of major seasonal campaigns and churchwide initiatives
Collaborate on creative direction, timelines, and deliverables
Help ensure projects move from concept to completion with excellence
Digital & Platform Stewardship
Support the ongoing development and optimization of digital platforms including website and app
Contribute to improvements in user experience and content organization
Help maintain clean, consistent, and effective digital environments
Systems & Workflow Management
Help steward communication systems and processes
Manage and prioritize incoming requests with discernment
Maintain organized workflows and project tracking
Contribute ideas that improve efficiency and clarity across teams
Minimum Qualifications:
Three to five years of experience in communications, design, marketing, or a related creative field
Bachelor’s Degree in a Communications related field preferred
Skills and Abilities
High attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Creative eye with a strong sense of visual consistency
Excellent written communication skills
Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership
Comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once
Natural learner who adapts quickly to new tools and systems
Alignment with the mission and culture of Mountain Springs Church
Comfort navigating content management systems, digital platforms, and digital asset organization is expected.
An understanding of basic photography principles and visual composition is strongly valued.
Technical Proficiencies:
Working knowledge of tools such as:
Adobe Creative Suite or Affinity
Canva, Figma, or comparable design software
Premiere, Kapwing, or similar video editing platforms
Mailchimp or comparable email marketing platforms
Asana, Monday.com, or similar project management systems
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Adequate transportation to complete job responsibilities in a timely manner
Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting
Manual dexterity and mobility
Visual and auditory acuity
Ability to lift, push, pull 30 pounds
