Job Description
Commodities Negotiation Specialist
Role Purpose
Lead the strategic procurement of commodity-exposed raw materials—especially amino acids—turning procurement into a true business partner. This role combines negotiation, market intelligence, and a trading mindset to optimize buying timing, manage volatility, improve TCO, and mitigate supply risk, supported by advanced analytics and AI.
Key Responsibilities
Build and execute sourcing strategies considering commodity volatility (spot vs. contracts, purchase windows, volumes).
Monitor global markets (indices, supply–demand, FX, freight, energy, geopolitics) and translate signals into buy recommendations.
Lead complex negotiations (price, TCO, payment terms, indexation, flexibility, supply risk).
Develop strategic supplier partnerships locally and internationally.
Embed AI, automation, and spend/price analytics into daily procurement decision-making (ERP, Power BI/Tableau, sourcing tools).
Partner with Commercial, Finance, R&D, and Operations; drive cross-functional initiatives through influence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in Business, International Business, Industrial/Administrative/Financial Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related.
4–6 years in strategic procurement, commodities/market-exposed roles, supplier development, or supply chain (trading/price analysis a plus).
Strong cost/TCO/risk and scenario modeling skills; high analytical and decision-making ability under ambiguity.
Advanced English (C1).
