As a Commissions Consultant, you play a vital role in ensuring our distribution partners are recognised accurately, fairly and on time, underpinning strong, trusted relationships across our Retail business. This role brings together governance, collaboration and continuous improvement to help TAL operate with integrity and confidence. Your work directly supports advisers, strengthens our partner ecosystem, and enables TAL to deliver on its purpose of protecting what matters most.
In this role you will:
• Manage accurate and compliant commission calculations and payments in line with TAL distribution agreements and guidelines.
• Reconcile commission payment data with policy records to ensure integrity, accuracy and timely delivery.
• Plan and deliver commission statements and RCTIs, supporting required reviews, recommendations and authorisations.
• Actively manage stakeholder relationships and complex queries, resolving issues and escalations effectively.
• Maintain governance and risk controls across monthly commissions processes and decision‑making.
• Contribute to process improvements and change initiatives to enhance efficiency across Adviser Services.
• Bring relevant experience in a finance, commissions, or business performance environment, where accuracy and accountability are critical.
• Apply strong knowledge of financial concepts and complex structures that influence commission and remuneration outcomes.
• Use advanced Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems to analyse data and support sound decisions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, building trusted relationships with advisers, distributors and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a strong eye for detail and quality, taking pride in delivering accurate and reliable outcomes.
• Approach work in an organised and proactive way, balancing priorities and solving problems as they arise.
