to our team! This is a hybrid position requiring individuals to work in office 10 days per month; or as needed for business needs.

Work Environment: NGL offers a flexible work environment where employees can work fully remote, hybrid or onsite at our Madison, Wis. office. We support virtual working arrangements in certain states outside of WI.
A Day in the Life:
The primary focus of this position is to monitor commission payments, process any adjustments needed within the stated time requirements, and respond to agent, marketing partner, and internal questions/requests related to compensation. In addition, this position will assist with the producer debt collection process and other commission related processes where needed. In this role, work is performed under general supervision. The Commissions Administrator also includes building new commissions on the policy administration systems, analyzing product commission components, and looking for ways to enhance processes and improve quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure commissions are paid out and reported correctly while resolving any issues identified
Create and/or process manual commission entries and adjustments to ensure accurate payments and reporting
Process producer assignment requests
Process requested producer reserve account entries
Process other types of manual producer payments
Run daily monitoring queries
Produce and review multiple daily queries
Research results as needed and redirect any discrepancies that are identified to the appropriate personnel for resolution on a timely basis
Process necessary adjustments.
Assist in servicing production support requests received via phone, email, or workflow
Provide support and resolve commission questions
Research/resolve processing and system issues
Document decisions and actions in appropriate file
Make recommendations for processing issues and escalate as needed
Assist in the accounting for producer transactions
Create adjusting entries to the policy administration system and/or general ledger system as needed
Coordinate producer debt payments internally and allocate to the appropriate general ledger account
Perform routine producer commission transaction audits and reconciliation
Research and resolve outstanding Producer checks
Assist in the review and processing of year-end adjustments to producer tax reporting
Assist with Producer debt management process
Respond to inquiries from producers regarding debt
Manage debt repayment plans / debt recall memos
Process debt payments
Assist with and/or complete debt roll-ups
Learn, build, and maintain commission rates and the rules to pay commissions
Become familiar with the rules and rates to pay commissions
Build commission rate tables/deal codes
Build agent contracts
Test/verification of commission rates, contracts and associated functionality
Update existing routine commission schedules
Help ensure that team standards and goals are maintained, including any assigned projects
Assist in monitoring daily processes and keep track of your assigned duties
Be familiar with responsibilities of other team members and provide backup to support the ongoing and timely completion of necessary processing
Provide timely updates and issues to supervisor and senior members as needed
Continually work toward process improvements and cost reductions
Assist with development and maintenance of processing procedures
Train other members of the team to be your backup
Actively participate on various teams and project groups to represent commission function
Work towards annual team goals and projects

Basic accounting knowledge and ability to apply accounting principles and practices to work tasks
Ability to use math to solve and analyze problems, then communicate the results to the customer
Basic to intermediate level of knowledge of NGL products and procedures is desired
Basic to intermediate policy administration systems skills or ability to develop
Education Requirements:
Minimum: High School or GED
Preferred: LOMA Level One Certificate
Years of Experience:
A minimum of one year prior insurance, accounting or related office experience desired.
NGL policy administration experience a plus.
