We’re currently seeking a highly motivated Commissioning Agent located in Baltimore, MD.
Position Overview:
The Commissioning Agent is responsible for providing comprehensive building commissioning services for airport terminal development and related infrastructure projects. This role ensures that building systems are designed, installed, tested, and operated in accordance with project requirements, design intent, and operational performance standards.
The Commissioning Agent works closely with the Project Manager, Resident Engineer, design consultants, contractors, and airport operations staff to verify that building systems perform as intended. The role involves coordinating commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems throughout design review, construction, testing, and final system acceptance.
The Commissioning Agent shall be part of an Architectural Engineering or Construction Management and Inspection team with demonstrated experience providing total building commissioning services for medium to large commercial airports or large industrial facilities.

Required Certifications:
Inspection staff assigned to this role must possess at least one of the following credentials
At least one member of the commissioning team must possess an ASHRAE Building Commissioning Professional Certification BCXP.
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
The Commissioning team must have a minimum of 10 years of experience providing total building commissioning services at a medium to large commercial airport or large industrial facility.
Demonstrated experience commissioning complex building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
Experience coordinating commissioning activities within active operational facilities such as airport terminals, transportation hubs, or large industrial complexes.
The commissioning team shall include qualified Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing professionals with expertise in system testing, verification, and performance validation.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement commissioning plans for airport terminal and infrastructure projects.
Review design documents, specifications, and system designs to ensure that commissioning requirements and performance criteria are properly incorporated.
Coordinate commissioning activities with the Project Manager, Resident Engineer, contractors, and design consultants.
Verify that mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems are installed in accordance with design intent and project specifications.
Develop commissioning procedures and testing protocols for building systems.
Witness and document functional performance testing of building systems including HVAC systems, electrical systems, emergency power systems, and life safety systems.
Verify proper integration of building automation systems and control sequences.
Coordinate with contractors and system vendors during system start up and performance verification.
Identify system deficiencies and work with project teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare commissioning reports documenting system testing, results, and performance verification.
Support final system acceptance and turnover to facility operations and maintenance personnel.
Provide training verification and support for airport maintenance staff on building system operation and maintenance.
Ensure commissioning documentation and records are complete and properly maintained for project closeout.
Salary:
45.00/hr
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management’s discretion.
