Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator will work with Field Supervisors and Project Managers in the Low Slope Roofing and Sheet Metal business units, providing field support to the Project Management team for all assigned projects from kick-off through job close out. The goal of the Project Coordinator is to manage project related tasks allowing Forepersons and Field Supervisors to focus on job performance/quality. This is an assistant field supervisor, entry level position, with many performance opportunities as outlined in this job description.
Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain communication, including all meetings between all trades on job site
Attend Project Preconstruction, Kick-off meetings to become familiar with projects
Walk project site to assist with project logistics and provide reports of existing conditions including such conditions as pavement, landscaping, signage, lighting, electrical equipment, traffic requirements, building conditions, dumpster enclosures, fencing, storage etc.
Communicate timeline changes, meetings, and any new information to Field Supervisor and Project Manager
Coordinate logistics of deliveries, crane set up, trash removal
Checking inventory on incoming deliveries to ensure products match order form
Ensure inventories are up to date and materials are on site to avoid repeat trips to warehouse
Attend weekly General Contractor meetings if applicable
Responsible for obtaining change order authorization and maintaining production goals
Assist with managing job costs for each project
Assist with daily OPM and Harness jobsite safety evaluations to ensure compliance and weekly Toolbox talks
Ensure that roof specifications, shop drawings and scope of work are being followed correctly
Follow up with job site foreman to ensure all materials are properly secured and protected on the jobsite
Ensure all jobs are closed out according to policy/specs to ensure the highest customer satisfaction
Assist with just in time planning/scheduling around project changes/weather etc.
Keep track of weather days on job sites
Ensure housekeeping is kept up daily
Ensure crew apparel codes are being enforced to ensure a professional appearance to the public/client
Promote excellent morale – positive attitudes
Effectively apply and enforce Company standards, policies & procedures
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
1-2 years previous construction industry experience
Proven experience in roof system installation with the ability to train others
Strong organizational skills to coordinate and schedule tasks pertaining to construction projects
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance
Strong understanding of production goals and job budgeting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Proficient in math calculations relevant to roofing
Familiarity with technology, including computers, smartphones, and tablets
Ability to enforce and abide by all company policies, especially strict safety standards
English fluency required
Must possess or be willing to obtain OSHA 30-hour card
Pass background check, drug screening, and obtain clearances where necessary
Possess a valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use hands for various tasks
Vision capabilities may include close vision
Frequent climbing of ladders, bending, kneeling, walking jobsites, and using hand tools and power tools
Must perform essential job functions safely and consistently in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards
Hourly Rate: $25.00 - 30.00 per hour
