Job Description
We’re working with a well-established, publicly traded community bank in the Bay Area that is actively adding to its commercial banking team. This is a true relationship-driven role with a balanced mix of C&I and CRE, strong internal support, and flexibility in how you build and manage your book.
The Opportunity
This is a producer-focused seat for someone who wants to build a long-term portfolio, not just close transactions.
Generalist role across C&I and CRE lending
Existing CRE-heavy portfolio with a strategic push toward more C&I
Open calling territory across the Greater Bay Area and surrounding markets
Ability to pursue opportunities outside a rigid branch footprint
Emphasis on full relationships (loans + deposits)
You’ll be stepping into a platform that is already producing and capable of supporting meaningful growth.
Why This Role Stands Out
Proven production environment
Top performers are doing significant volume; this is not a slow or capped platform.
Flexible territory
You’re not boxed into a small geography. If you have relationships, you can go after them.
Relationship banking model
The bank competes on structure and service, not just rate. This allows you to win and retain better clients.
Support structure in place
Dedicated portfolio management and credit support allows you to stay focused on production and client development.
Ability to structure deals
Credit is thoughtful and flexible where it matters, giving you tools to win business without racing to the bottom on pricing.
Stability + long-term focus
This is not a churn-and-burn environment. The bank is built around long-term client relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop and grow a commercial loan portfolio
Source new business across C&I and CRE
Build and deepen full client relationships (loans, deposits, treasury)
Work closely with credit and portfolio teams to execute deal
Actively prospect and expand market presence
What They’re Looking For
Experience in commercial banking (C&I, CRE, or both)
Ability to generate new business and build relationships
Ideally bringing an existing book or strong, portable relationships
Interest in growing C&I exposure (not just CRE)
Comfortable operating in a relationship-driven, community bank environment
Coachable, driven, and able to produce consistently
Production Expectations
Targeting approximately $20MM in annual production
Open to candidates in the $8MM–$10MM+ range with strong upside
Additional Details
Hybrid environment (in-office presence expected)
Strong market reputation and established footprint
Competitive compensation aligned with production
Who This Is Best For
A producing RM who wants more flexibility and less bureaucracy
A lender who values relationships over transactional volume
Someone looking to build a meaningful, long-term book
