Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Operations & Partner Relations Manager to lead quoting coordination activities while managing key external partner relationships. This role serves as a central hub for all quote-related activity, ensuring requests are handled efficiently, accurately, and with a high level of responsiveness.
The position requires strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams including engineering, estimating, manufacturing, sales, and project management.
Core Responsibilities:
Quote Coordination & Execution
• Oversee intake and processing of all incoming quote requests across the organization
• Ensure timely acknowledgment and progression of all requests
• Collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to validate scope, pricing, and lead times
• Manage multiple active quotes simultaneously, including updates and revisions
• Deliver completed quotes that meet accuracy standards and expected turnaround times
Strategic Partner Engagement
• Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned strategic partner organizations
• Coordinate and participate in regular calls, meetings, and performance reviews
• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up to support partner relationships
• Ensure alignment between partner expectations and internal quoting processes
Customer & Partner Communication
• Act as a key point of contact during the pre-award/quoting phase
• Respond promptly to inquiries, changes, and follow-up requests
• Set clear expectations related to scope, timelines, and next steps
• Provide proactive updates to both internal stakeholders and external partners
• Represent the company with professionalism and a strong service-oriented approach
Cross-Functional Commercial Coordination
• Interface with sales, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams during quoting activities
• Prepare clear and complete handoffs to Project Management for awarded projects
• Identify potential risks, scope gaps, or assumptions early in the process and escalate as needed
• Support updates and changes to active quotes as project details evolve
Process Improvement & Efficiency
• Promote consistency in quoting workflows, tools, and documentation
• Identify recurring bottlenecks or quality issues affecting turnaround time
• Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency as workload and complexity grow
Performance Metrics:
Success in this role will be measured by:
• Timeliness of quote delivery and overall turnaround time
• Accuracy and reduction of rework
• Responsiveness to customers and partners
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent quotes
• Quality and clarity of project handoffs
• Feedback from customers and strategic partners
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in sales, quoting, or commercial operations within a technical or manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership of responsibilities
• Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced setting
• Willingness to learn technical products related to electrical systems and infrastructure
• Highly organized with consistent follow-through on tasks and commitments
