We're seeking a Commercial Manager for Partnerships and Public Sector to join our team in Zurich.

This is a key commercial role responsible for our growth in two critical areas, with a primary focus on building and managing our partner network. We're looking for a strategic thinker who thrives on building long-term relationships and demonstrating value through a consultative approach.


About The Role::
In this role, you will be a key driver of YAPEAL’s market expansion. Your main focus is to build and shape a strong partner ecosystem that acts as a multiplier for the growth of our Embedded Finance solutions based on accounts, cards and payments. At the same time, you will lead our commercial efforts within the Swiss public sector. 

This position goes beyond transactional sales, it is about acting as a strategic advisor. 

You will bridge the gap between complex technology and business needs, translating our API capabilities into clear value propositions for partners and C-level decision-makers. You will take full ownership. From defining the strategy to closing the deal.


Expect a Day Full of::
• Build & Manage our Partner Network: Lead the development and management of our partner ecosystem. You will identify, acquire, and nurture strategic partners to ensure mutual, long-term success
• Own the Public Sector Vertical: Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Swiss public sector, managing the entire process from engagement to long-term relationship management
• Consultative Solution Selling: Conduct in-depth discovery with prospective clients and partners to understand their strategic needs, presenting YAPEAL’s Payments-as-a-Service solutions as a core part of their business model
• Build Compelling Business Cases: Create and present clear financial models, value propositions, and ROI analyses for C-level executives and public-sector decision-makers
• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with our solution development, account management, and compliance teams to structure winning proposals and ensure smooth client success


Who We’re Looking For::
• Commercial Experience: 5+ years in a B2B role like Partnership Management, Business Development, or Key Account Management
• Strategic & Structured Thinking: You are a natural planner who can develop clear commercial strategies, navigate complex stakeholder needs, and execute your plan in a structured, methodical way
• Relevant Industry Background: Experience in Payments, FinTech, Banking, or enterprise SaaS is a major plus
• Technical & Financial Acumen: You are comfortable discussing technical API-based solutions and have the financial literacy to build and defend a business case
• Language Proficiency: Business fluency in both (Swiss-) German and English is mandatory

• Business Consulting Background: Previous experience at a business or management consulting firm, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Specialized Industry Knowledge: Deep experience with payments/ cards, Embedded Finance, or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
• A Scale-up Mindset: You thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment and are comfortable with a high degree of ownership
• Public Sector Familiarity: Direct experience with Swiss public-sector procurement processes.
• Language Skills: Working proficiency in French
