A well-established financial institution is seeking a Commercial Loan Servicing Lead to support and oversee key servicing functions within its commercial banking division. This role offers strong cross-functional exposure and the opportunity to play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy, compliance, and overall performance of a growing commercial loan portfolio.
Position Overview
The Commercial Loan Servicing Lead is responsible for post-closing loan administration, documentation maintenance, collateral perfection, reporting, and regulatory support. This individual partners closely with commercial lenders, credit teams, and operations to ensure loan servicing activities are completed accurately and in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial loan maintenance requests including rate changes, account updates, and payment research
Coordinate commercial loan payoffs and collateral releases
Monitor loan system accuracy and daily servicing activities
Oversee UCC filings and ensure continuity of collateral perfection
Track insurance coverage and property tax reporting
Support commercial loan participations (lead and participant roles)
Complete monthly reporting and reconcile discrepancies
Assist with internal audits, third-party audits, and regulatory examinations
Maintain strong internal controls to support portfolio safety and soundness
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of commercial loan servicing or related commercial banking experience
Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation and regulatory requirements
Experience with commercial loan systems and reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business platforms
Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
