Location of positions: Mototolo Complex
To support site operational leadership team members, bringing a financial lens to operational decisions.
Planning & Budgeting
• Assist Commercial Advisor with the breakdown of financial targets down to site work areas
• Provide operational support to the budgeting process on site, collating budget inputs and supplying analyses.
• Support business case modelling for the operation.
• Collate financial forecasts by the disciplines.
Risk Management
• Provide end users with financial information to control cost.
• Supply reports to facilitate transparent communication of risks
• Provide operational support for site financial audits
Reporting & Controls
• Collate discipline financial inputs across disciplines.
• Prepare effective financial reports & analyses, in line with company standards.
• Monitor site financial performance, highlighting deviations to management.
• Track cost performance against budget.
Commercial Continuous Improvement
• Support implementation of P950 cost savings initiatives.
• Feedback improvement needs and ideas.
Site Performance Improvement
• Supply data analyses & insights for discussions with disciplines.
• Prepare business cases and sensitivity analyses for cost improvement opportunities.
• Support quantification of financial impact of improvement measures.   
This role is in the Finance Department at a Band 6 level reporting to Senior Commercial Specialist.
• Undergraduate qualification (Bachelors/ Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant
• Postgraduate qualifications within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics and CIMA/CA(SA)/CFA - advantageous
Experience
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role, 2 years of which should be in a Mining/PGMs environment.
• Experience in Financial Management systems, Essbase and SAP.
• Experience in Capital and Project Appraisals
Knowledge and Skills
• Proficient - new work methods to ensure productive and safe work and achieve plans.
• Proficient - monitoring of benchmarks and identification of performance gaps.
• Proficient - management of work packages across a portfolio of project activities.
• Proficient use of data analysis and management for decision-making.
• Proficient - leading and managing through crises and times of transformation and change.
• Interrogate data-driven reports and dashboards to monitor and manage operations and
• make key decisions.
• Manage capacity availability and spread.
• Define and understand challenges and propose better ways of working.
• Ability to understand and interpret supplier contracts within specific operational disciplines.
