Job Description:

Desert Services International is seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. This role involves working with electrical systems in an industrial environment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, and circuit breakers, and will be committed to upholding safety standards while performing installations and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Install Conduits: Install, bend, cut, and thread rigid steel conduits up to 4-inch diameter.

Electrical Wiring & Systems: Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures as needed.

Conduit & Wiring Replacement: Replace conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers to ensure systems are up to code.

Install Conductors & Terminations: Install conductors and terminate at various locations such as panel boards, instruments, and junction boxes.

Electrical Drawings Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings to carry out installations and troubleshooting tasks.

Commissioning (Optional): Experience with startup and commissioning of electrical systems is an asset, though not required.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical systems are installed and maintained in compliance with safety regulations, including NFPA70E and NEC standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Commercial Electrician or similar role.

Knowledge of and ability to install conduits, wiring, and electrical systems in industrial settings.

Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately.

Basic understanding of NFPA70E and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety regulations.

Start-up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
