Commercial Electrical Foreman
Location: Bel Air, MD (Projects around Baltimore, DC, and Delaware area)Job Type: Full-Time
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead crews on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising field teams, coordinating installations, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial electrical construction, proven leadership experience, and holds a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead electricians and apprentices on active job sites
• Plan daily work activities and manage crew productivity
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
• Oversee installation of conduit, panels, lighting, and power distribution systems
• Ensure all work meets NEC and local code requirements
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols
• Track job progress and report on schedules, issues, and material needs
Requirements
• Active Journeyman Electrician License (required)
• 5+ years of commercial electrical experience
• Prior experience leading crews or working as a Foreman/Lead Electrician
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Solid understanding of NEC and job site safety standards
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience on large commercial projects (schools, hospitals, offices, etc.)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Ability to manage multiple phases of a project
