We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up construction projects in Cary, North Carolina. This full-time, on-site role focuses on managing field operations for commercial developments, including retail and office building projects.
The Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors, maintaining construction schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. This position requires strong leadership, field expertise, and the ability to manage multiple jobsite activities while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily jobsite operations for ground-up commercial construction projects in Cary, NC
• Coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and suppliers to maintain project progress and productivity
• Monitor construction schedules, sequencing, and milestone deadlines
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications
• Conduct daily site inspections and oversee subcontractor performance
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners
• Identify and resolve jobsite issues to prevent schedule delays or cost overruns
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Track project progress and maintain jobsite documentation, reports, and logs
• Support project closeout activities, punch list completion, and final inspections
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent managing ground-up projects
• Background overseeing retail, office, or similar commercial building construction
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite logistics
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage field teams and subcontractors
• Understanding of jobsite safety regulations and quality control processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project timelines
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with general contractors with 75–300 employees
• Familiarity with commercial construction sectors such as retail centers, office buildings, or mixed-use developments
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms
