General Description

The Small Projects Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of hands-on construction, maintenance, and repair projects. This role requires a versatile, detail-oriented professional who can work independently or collaboratively with a team while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

This is a hands-on lead position: the successful candidate will manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, schedule tasks, order materials and supplies, and work alongside their team to complete projects on time and within budget. Projects may include carpentry, drywall, painting, concrete, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate has the knowledge and experience to manage multiple small projects, execute quality work, and maintain strong client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities — Hands-On Repairs & Maintenance

Perform general framing using wood and metal studs for repairs and small construction projects.

Hang, tape, and finish drywall for repairs and minor remodels.

Replace and repair ceiling tiles and grid systems as needed.

Complete interior painting including walls, doors, frames, and trim.

Carry out basic carpentry tasks, such as installing blocking/backing for fixtures and finishes.

Set door frames, hang doors, and install or adjust door hardware.

Perform minor repairs and hot patches to maintain finished spaces.

Assist with cabinet removal and installation as required (experience preferred but not mandatory).

Work Requirements & Qualifications

Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends based on project schedules.

Strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.

Ability to work independently or with a crew in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Willingness to travel overnight occasionally, as project needs dictate.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
