Commercial Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction planning through final completion. This full-time onsite position in Excelsior, MN is ideal for a construction professional with strong general contracting experience, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to lead projects from concept through closeout.

The Project Manager will play a key role in managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communication while ensuring projects meet safety standards, quality expectations, and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate is familiar with the Minnesota construction market and able to collaborate effectively with field teams, architects, engineers, and ownership groups.

This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate scope alignment
• Lead project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and field teams
• Monitor jobsite progress, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality expectations
• Manage change orders, procurement, and contract documentation
• Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain schedules and budgets
• Support field supervisors and superintendents to maintain workflow efficiency
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project milestones and updates

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction or general contracting
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle from planning through closeout
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and project budgets
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with construction management software and project documentation systems
• Candidates should be local to Minnesota or able to reliably work onsite in Excelsior, MN

• Experience managing ground-up commercial construction or renovation projects
