Are you detail-driven with a passion for accuracy and healthcare revenue integrity? One Health is seeking a Coding Specialist to help ensure patient encounters are accurately coded, claims are submitted efficiently, and reimbursements are maximized. This role plays a vital part in supporting our providers and strengthening the financial health of our organization—while advancing our mission of exceptional patient care.
Location: Remote | Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
Pay: $20.51- $22.18/hr DOE
**This is a remote position. However, candidates must be located within driving distance of one of our Montana or Wyoming locations. A full list of our locations is available on our website. Travel to a site for Tech issues or management purposes may be required. **
What You’ll Do
Code patient encounters using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines to ensure accuracy, compliance, and complete reimbursement.
Prepare and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurers, and other third-party payers, including required documentation.
Review encounters and claims for errors or missing information, collaborating with staff and providers to resolve issues.
Follow-Up on rejected, denied, or outstanding claims to drive timely resolution and payment.
Collaborate with providers through regular communication and monthly meetings to address coding and billing questions.
Maintain billing system accuracy by managing claim statuses, secondary claims, and payer-specific requirements.
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED required; coding certification preferred
Preferred experience with medical billing and coding or working in a healthcare facility
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate clearly with providers, staff, and external partners
