Based within the Business Area Cloud Software and Services (BCSS) - Service Area Cognitive Network Solutions (SA CNS), the Strategic Competence Unit (SCU) is a highly qualified global service delivery team located in several countries. You will be working on advanced mobile technologies and will be involved in projects with many diverse customers around the world. In this role, you will be a specialist and a go-to person in the field of E2E Network Design and Optimization (NDO). What you will do:
Support the delivery of advanced services in the area of End-to-End NDO across RAN, Core Network, Transport and Device domains, with special focus on Benchmarking Preparation, New Technology Optimization and Multivendor networks’ Optimization
Learn to understand customer requirements and grow technically to provide advice and lead technical discussion in the future
Point and guide discussions with Customers (Technical Staff and Senior Management)
Support ongoing projects, their development and technical presentations and proposals
Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing
Provide ideas and suggestions to Product Management to further improve/add/modify existing offerings within the NDO portfolio
Analyze data and deliver solutions that improve the customer network in terms of capacity, functionality and end-user services. You are expected to work across the entire Mobile Broadband eco system
Skills
You will bring
The successful applicant must have a blend of skills required to contribute in delivery processes, use of consulting methodology and development of the technical expertise across the team. For this role, a Senior consultative approach towards the customer and NDO experience is needed. In general, the requirements could sum up to have:
Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering or IT
Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in ICT Industry with experience in service delivery and pre-sales
Expertise in End-user experience optimization in 5G SA and NSA, LTE, MBB/FWA, VoLTE, VoNR technologies
End to End knowledge of services, covering devices, RAN, Transport and Packet Core domains
Deep technical knowledge in RAN and deep data analytics knowledge
Knowledge in EPC, 5G Core and IMS Mobile Networks Architecture, traffic flows, and Network Optimization/Network Design
User-Plane and Signaling-Plane knowledge (statistical and call flow based on Wireshark)
Good TCP and TCP Congestion Control Algorithms knowledge. QUIC understanding is a plus
Understanding of Routing and Switching
Data Analytics skills (MySQL, Tableau, etc.)
Python programming skills, and familiar with ML/AI applied to NDO
Ability to understand customers business objectives and be able to link them to improvements in Network Performance and End User Experience
Ability to communicate eloquently, present and influence the customer by knowing the impact of any action/service on their business

Proven ability to be self-motivated, show initiative and capability to work in challenging circumstances and learn independently
Result-oriented with focus on customer satisfaction and project delivery. Customer care and high concern for quality is required
Knowledge of Ericsson equipment, radio network features, algorithms, and parameters would be an advantage
Location & Travelling: Position is based in Madrid (Spain). Ability to travel globally as per business priorities
English is mandatory
