Schedule: 1st or 3rd Shift (based on operational needs)
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: Starts at $30.00+ (depending on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Technician to support precision metal forming operations. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal components with high accuracy.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in fabrication, understands material behavior, and can independently manage setups, troubleshoot issues, and maintain consistent production quality in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities:
• Set up press brake machines, including loading programs, selecting tooling and dies, and preparing for production runs
• Retrieve and upload CNC programs through the machine interface
• Interpret blueprints, bend charts, and material specifications to ensure accurate forming
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools and verify machine calibration
• Troubleshoot forming challenges such as springback, tooling wear, and material inconsistencies
• Adjust tooling, machine settings, or processes to maintain part accuracy and repeatability
• Conduct routine maintenance checks, diagnostics, and inspections of tooling and equipment
• Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, quantities, and setup details
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Work independently while making sound decisions related to setup, quality, and workflow
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of CNC press brake or metal forming experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of materials such as galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Solid math skills
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, walking, etc.)
• Comfortable working in environments with temperature extremes
Preferred Experience:
• Familiarity with graphical CNC interfaces
• Manual press brake experience
• Strong situational awareness and organizational skills
