As a Computer Numerical Control Milling Machinist, you will be:
• Responsible for operating a CNC milling machine to produce precision parts and components.
• Select the correct cutting tools, adjust the machine settings, and monitor the machine during the process to ensure the parts are being produced in the Machine shop.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Do minor repairs, such as repairing faulty programs and machinery.
• Relevant experience as a CNC programmer and machinist
• Graduate of Mechanical Technology or related course
• Can interpret Engineering Drawings / Blueprints
• Can do 2D and 3D Programming.
• Can perform basic maintenance of CNC machines
• Knowledgeable in metrology and hand tools
• Can work with minimal supervision
