Pay: $20.00 – $30.00+ per hour (based on experience)
Overview
A growing manufacturing operation specializing in precision metal components is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator / Programmer. This position involves working with a variety of CNC and manual equipment to produce high-quality parts in a production-focused environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on machining experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
• Review job orders, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to determine machining requirements
• Program, set up, and run CNC equipment, including 3-axis milling machines
• Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine settings to ensure part accuracy
• Perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, turning, and facing
• Inspect parts during initial runs and throughout production using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot equipment or programming issues and make necessary corrections
• Operate manual shop equipment including mills, lathes, and saws when needed
• Maintain tooling, machines, and work area to ensure optimal performance
• Track material usage and assist with inventory as required
What We’re Looking For:
• At least 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of G-code programming and editing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Solid understanding of basic math concepts, including geometry and trigonometry
• Experience with inspection processes and quality standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching
• High attention to detai
Nice to Have:
• Background in sheet metal fabrication
• Experience with CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar)
• Familiarity with ISO-based quality systems
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives
• Experience operating manual machining equipment
