Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a CMDB / Data Analyst to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data within the Configuration Management Database. This role supports operational, compliance, and service management processes by maintaining high quality configuration data and delivering meaningful insights through reporting and analysis. The position plays an important role in supporting service mapping, asset lifecycle visibility, and governance activities while contributing to improved service quality and informed decision making across the organisation.

What you will do:

 

• Maintain configuration item records, attributes, and relationships within the Configuration Management Database.
• Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of CMDB information.
• Identify data gaps and inconsistencies and coordinate remediation activities to improve data integrity.
• Produce reports, dashboards, and trend analysis to support governance processes and audit requirements.
• Support service mapping activities to maintain visibility of system dependencies and infrastructure relationships.
• Maintain asset lifecycle updates within configuration records to ensure accurate operational tracking.
• Support change impact assessments by analysing configuration relationships and dependencies.
• Maintain documentation related to configuration data management processes and operational procedures.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of CMDB data standards and governance practices.
