The CMA – Budget Specialist will support the organization’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. This role works closely with senior finance team members and business stakeholders to ensure accurate budget preparation, effective cost control, and timely financial insights that support decision-making and financial discipline.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Planning

• Support the preparation, organization, and monitoring of annual and periodic budgets across departments.
• Work closely with senior analysts to ensure budgeting timelines, accuracy, and consistency.
• Assist in aligning departmental budgets with overall financial and strategic objectives.

Cost & Variance Analysis

• Prepare Actual vs Budget reports and support detailed variance analysis.
• Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Assist in developing actionable insights to improve financial performance.

Financial Reporting

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze budget utilization and expenditure trends to support management reviews.

Forecasting & Projections

• Assist in building financial forecasts and projections based on historical data and current performance.
• Support assessment of future funding requirements and budget re-allocations.

Data Management & Systems

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure reliable data entry and reconciliation across financial systems, spreadsheets, and ERP tools.

Compliance & Controls

• Support adherence to internal financial policies, controls, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with documentation required for audits and internal reviews.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with finance, operations, and departmental teams to understand budget requirements.
• Support communication of budget insights and clarifications to internal stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Research

• Assist in reviewing and improving budgeting processes, templates, and tools for efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct research on industry benchmarks, market trends, and financial best practices to support planning activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Fresher CMA with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Core Skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large financial datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions); exposure to financial modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is advantageous.
