Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator and investor, currently with a diverse portfolio of over 560 properties designed intelligently to appeal to a variety of travellers, serving new passions as well as personal needs. Through our Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow and TIVOLI properties, Minor Hotels operates in 50+ countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and South America.

You work closely with the Hotel General Managers ( Anantara Kalutara Resort, Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort and Avani Kalutara Resort ), Corporate Office and your team to set up, establish and drive the hotels' financial performance and creating results by maximizing sales efforts with innovative marketing ideas. You will develop rapports with key clients and feel comfortable taking risks by entering into new markets. Further you will have to attend domestic and international trade shows and major market events to promote new business and increase sales for the hotel. You will be responsible to build and develop the hotels' sales and marketing leadership in your geographic assignment. Through your effective management, passion and enthusiasm you will be able to successfully inspire and coach your team and ensure marketing brand standards are fully respected. You would also oversees the implementation of marketing and PR strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions as well as monitoring competitor marketing and PR activities. We would like you to establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners as well as to maintain a consistent brand image throughout all sales, PR, marketing and MarCom activities. Lastly you would oversees the implementation of the brand strategy and brand standards at a hotel level and implements corrective measures if necessary.

Main job duties;

• Manage, develop and implement an overall marketing and communications strategy for the Minor Hotels Sri Lanka Cluster of properties.
• Manage all brand, advertising and marketing creative, including design, copy and images, plus website content development on brand and third party channels.
• Strategic development of an integrated marketing promotional plan (per proprty) to drive awareness of Anantara and Avani brands, and deliver hotel revenues.
• Maintain an organised library of image, video and content assets, plus manage ongoing photography and content requirements.
• Manage and implement marketing & PR budget and report regularly on all campaigns.
• Maintain and direct all third party marketing and PR related agencies and suppliers.
• Build relations with regional and international media and manage all media and influencer visits to properties.
• Manage an effective e-communications and social media strategy to support the overall business objectives for the Cluster properties.
• Press office responsibilities including responding to media requests, maintaining media database, PR systems and image library, plus managing press clippings.
• Work closely with GMs and hotel teams to ensure an ongoing selection of story angles and calendar of events to drive PR coverage
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders required to ensure the delivery of the PR and Marketing strategy, eg, airlines, tourism authorities, business partners etc.
• Attend the main events and visits of journalists and influencers on the properties

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree, ideally in Marketing, Communications or Business
• 3+ years of experience in overall Marketing, PR, and Digital disciplines including social media, website, SEO, data analysis
• Excellent writing skills in English and ideally another language or languages
• Experience in similar role within luxury hospitality or with a relevant agency background
• Experience with PR tools such as Google Analytics, Gorkana, Cision, Synthesio or similar
• Experience or knowledge of hotel operations and systems
• Ability to manage wide range of tasks and responsibilities at the same time
• A strong leader who can articulate a vision and translate it to reality
• Self-starter and independent, able to take on own areas and projects
• Excellent communication skills
